Backblaze B2
B2 speaks S3 through its own endpoint. Two things trip people up: the master application key does not work with the S3 API, and buckets created before May 2020 are not S3-enabled. Create a fresh bucket and a regular application key.
- Access key and secret
- Bucket name
- Region like us-west-004
Steps
- Sign in at secure.backblaze.com, open Buckets and choose Create a Bucket. Keep it private.
- On the bucket card, find the Endpoint. It looks like
s3.us-west-004.backblazeb2.com. The middle part,us-west-004, is your region. - Open Application Keys and choose Add a New Application Key.
- Name the key, restrict it to the bucket you made, and set access to Read and Write. Leave file name prefix empty.
- Copy the keyID and applicationKey. The applicationKey is shown once. The keyID is your Access Key ID and the applicationKey is your Secret Access Key.
Next: open Allmount and pick Backblaze B2. If something does not work, see troubleshooting.
