Common questions
What does Pro cost?
There are three ways to pay: $9.99 a month, $79.99 a year, or $99.99 once for lifetime access. The monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple Account settings. Prices are in US dollars; the App Store charges your local currency, such as rupees in India. See pricing for what Pro includes.
What happens when my Pro subscription lapses?
Extra connections and Finder drives pause. Your first connection keeps working on the free tier, and all your settings stay in place. If you subscribe again, everything resumes where it was. Nothing in your bucket is touched. A lifetime purchase never lapses.
How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to buy Pro, open Allmount's settings and choose Restore Purchases. Apple confirms the purchase and Pro unlocks. If it does not, check that the Apple Account matches the one shown in your App Store receipt.
Why does iPhone download the whole file before opening it?
On Mac, the Finder drive streams file contents as apps read them and keeps a managed copy on disk. On iPhone, the Files app location downloads a file fully before handing it to another app. Large files will take longer to open on iPhone than on Mac.
Does Pro support Family Sharing?
Yes. All three plans, monthly, yearly and lifetime, are shared with your family group. Each member installs Allmount and signs in with their own Apple Account, and Pro is on.
Is it one purchase for Mac and iPhone?
Yes. Allmount is one app on the App Store for both platforms. Buy Pro on either device and it unlocks on the other once you are signed in with the same Apple Account. Use Restore Purchases if it does not appear right away.
Can I connect MinIO running on my NAS?
Yes. Add a connection with a custom endpoint and paste the NAS address with its port, for example http://192.168.1.20:9000. Your device must be on the same network or reach the NAS through a VPN. Use https when your NAS supports it. The MinIO setup guide shows where to create the keys and what to paste.
How do I remove downloaded copies to free up space?
On Mac, right-click a file or folder in Finder and choose Remove Download. The item stays in your bucket and will download again when you open it. To clear everything at once on either platform, open Allmount's settings and choose Clear downloads.
If I delete a connection, what happens to my keys?
Deleting a connection removes its access key and secret from the Keychain on that device. Your bucket and its contents are not affected. You will need to paste the keys again to reconnect.
Known limits
- iPhone downloads files fully. There is no streaming on iPhone in this release.
- No trash yet. Deleting a file in Allmount deletes it from your bucket. If your provider offers versioning, turn it on for a safety net.
- Renames are copy plus delete. S3 has no rename, so renaming or moving a large folder copies every object before deleting the originals. It takes time and counts against your provider's request quotas. Files over 5 GB cannot be renamed in place.
- Deleted items may linger briefly on providers with eventual consistency, such as Backblaze B2 and Wasabi. The item disappears on the next refresh.
Refunds
Purchases are made through Apple, and Apple handles refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the Allmount purchase and choose the reason. Apple decides refund requests under its own policy. If you are stuck, email us and we will help where we can.
