Oracle Object Storage
Oracle Cloud exposes an S3 compatibility API. You need three things from the console: a Customer Secret Key, your Object Storage namespace, and the region.
- Access key and secret
- Bucket name
- Namespace required
- Region like us-ashburn-1
Steps
- In the OCI console, open Storage, then Buckets, and create a bucket in a compartment. Note the region shown in the top bar, for example
us-ashburn-1oreu-frankfurt-1. - Find your Object Storage namespace. It appears on the bucket details page and under your tenancy details. It is a short string, not your tenancy name.
- Open your user profile (look for My profile or User settings) and find Customer secret keys.
- Choose Generate secret key, name it, and copy the Secret Key. It is shown once.
- The Access Key is listed next to the new entry in the Customer secret keys table.
Next: open Allmount and pick Oracle Object Storage. If something does not work, see troubleshooting.
